How to submit a request

Begin through the public contact form and choose “Legal notice or content-rights complaint.” State that the request is from law enforcement and provide the requesting agency, official name and title, official government email, jurisdiction, reachable phone number, and any case or reference number.

Identify the LumaPair account or records sought with available non-sensitive identifiers and give a specific date range. Do not place passwords, one-time codes, complete payment credentials, intimate material, or sensitive identity documents in the initial form. We can arrange an appropriate follow-up channel if supporting legal process is required.

Legal process and scope

Requests must cite the legal authority relied on, be issued by a person with authority, describe the records requested with reasonable specificity, and satisfy applicable jurisdictional and service requirements. We may ask for clarification, authentication, translation, or narrower scope.

We review requests for facial validity and respond only with records that are available, responsive, and lawfully disclosable. A request does not guarantee that records exist or will be disclosed. We may challenge requests that are defective, overbroad, unsafe, or inconsistent with applicable law.

Preservation requests

An authorized official may request preservation of specifically identified existing records pending valid legal process. Include the legal basis, account identifiers, requested preservation period, and agency contact information. Preservation is subject to applicable law and does not itself authorize disclosure or require creation of records that do not exist.

Emergency and child-safety requests

An emergency request should explain the nature of the imminent threat, why the requested information is necessary to prevent death or serious physical harm, the people believed to be at risk, the time-sensitive records sought, and why ordinary legal process cannot be obtained in time. We assess each request under applicable law; submission does not guarantee disclosure.

Suspected child sexual exploitation should also be reported through the appropriate official national reporting channel. Do not upload, forward, or reproduce illegal material through the LumaPair contact form.

Member notice and confidentiality

We may notify an affected member about a request unless prohibited by law, a valid confidentiality order, or a documented risk of harm or obstruction. Requests for nondisclosure should identify the legal basis and duration. We protect the request itself and disclosed records in line with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

Service and other legal notices

The contact form is an intake channel, not a designation of a registered agent or consent to service by email or web form.
